Printing Maps and Directions

MapQuest Printing options have been enhanced to provide customized maps to take on the road!

Choose your Map View
When you're getting your maps and directions, create the map in the layout you desire. Zoom in to the level you want, move the map around, pick street map or aerial view - you choose the way you want your map to be.

Then, choose Print from the options at the top of the map and your Printer Friendly page will be exactly like you had chosen on your Maps or Directions page.

You'll also have the ability to select 'My View' (see #1 in example below) - which keeps the parameters for the map view you selected, or you can choose 'Show Entire Route on Map'. This will zoom out the page to show your entire route path.

Want to make changes to the map? Simply click the Back to Map link (see #2 in example below) in the upper right corner of the map and you'll be able to go back and alter your map view.

Choose What You Want to Print
Sometimes all you need are the directions and not the map. Now you have the choice to choose what you want. At the top of the Print page you'll have an option to choose 'Text & Map' or just 'Text Only'.

Maneuver Maps
Sometimes an overview map doesn't provide the detail you may want. MapQuest has a convenient option to allow you to see the Map for each section of your directions.

When you're planning your directions click on the 'Map' Link beside each section of the routing you want to see.

Each map can then be zoomed in or out, and even "grabbed" and panned for the best view for your printout.

Any maneuver maps you choose to show will appear in your Printed directions.
