Note to US-93 Travelers in the vicinity of the Hoover Dam:
Expect delays while using the portion of US-93 across Hoover Dam. Alternative routes are advised if your itinerary does not include a visit to the dam. Travelers can use US-95 and State Routes 163/68 through Laughlin, Nevada, and Bullhead City, Arizona, to cross the Colorado River to the south; this route adds about 23 miles to travel. Another alternate route further to the south is I-40, which intersects with US-95 near Needles, California. We also recommend visiting the Bureau of Reclamation Web site for additional information. For your safety, always obey local construction and detour signs.
