Other Details

Griffith Park is the largest municipal park in the country, with 4,210 acres of natural, chapparal-covered terrain and landscaped parkland and picnic areas. The park lies just west of the Golden State Freeway (I-5), roughly between Los Feliz Boulevard to the south and the Ventura Freeway to the north.

The park includes bridle trails, hiking paths and mountain roads. It is home to The Griffith Observatory, one of southern California's most popular attractions. The Observatory is located on the southern slope of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park, just above the Los Feliz neighborhood.
