The Town of Akron is a Statutory Town that is the county seat and the most populous town of Washington County, in the U.S. State of Colorado. The town population was 1,702 at the U.S. Census 2010.
Akron is located at 40°9′42″N 103°12′43″W / 40.16167°N 103.21194°W / 40.16167; -103.21194 (40.161530, -103.211850), at the intersection of U.S. Highway 34 and State Highway 63.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.5 square miles (3.8 km²), all of it land.
