Mt. Cuba Center provides is a horticultural education and research services. Based in Greenville, Del., it provides horticulture research in various categories, such as plant exploration, trial garden, plant documentation, plant evaluation and plant introductions, to name a few. Mt. Cuba Center became one of the first public gardens in America to be recognized by the North American Plant Collections Consortium (NAPCC). Their estate includes formal gardens, woodland landscapes, pastures and fields. Mt. Cuba Center holds membership with American Public Gardens Association (APGA).
