Eagle Lake is a city in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,496 at the 2000 census. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 2,493. It is part of the Lakeland–Winter Haven Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Eagle Lake is located at 27°58′47″N 81°45′17″W / 27.979732°N 81.754632°W / 27.979732; -81.754632. Eagle Lake is located within the Central Florida Highlands area of the Atlantic coastal plain with a terrain consisting of flatland interspersed with gently rolling hills.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.4 square miles (3.7 km²). 1.4 square miles (3.6 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (3.50%) is water.
