Pearl is a village in Pike County, Illinois, United States. The population was 187 at the 2000 census. The village, settled in the late 19th century, is named after pearl buttons drilled from the large supply of native mussels that once lived in the nearby Illinois River.
Pearl is located at 39°27′31″N 90°37′28″W / 39.45861°N 90.62444°W / 39.45861; -90.62444 (39.458611, -90.624433).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.6 square miles (4.1 km²), of which, 1.5 square miles (3.9 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²) of it (5.66%) is water.
