Southport is a city in Marion County, Indiana, United States. The population was 1,712 at the 2010 census. It was founded in the 19th century as a place of loading, unloading, embarkation, and debarkation by teamsters driving goods north to Indianapolis, making it a true "port", even though it is completely landlocked.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.0[square mile] all of it land.
