Kiowa is a city in Barber County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 1,026.
Kiowa is located at 37°1′3″N 98°29′5″W / 37.0175°N 98.48472°W / 37.0175; -98.48472 (37.017520, -98.484721). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.1 square miles (2.7 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,055 people, 467 households, and 292 families residing in the city. The population density was 995.3 people per square mile (384.3/km²). There were 569 housing units at an average density of 536.8 per square mile (207.3/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 95.83% White, 0.28% African American, 1.23% Native American, 1.71% from other races, and 0.95% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.27% of the population.
