Barryton is a village in Mecosta County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 381 at the 2000 census. The village is located in Fork Township on M-66. It was established in 1894.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.0 square miles (2.7 km²), of which, 0.9 square miles (2.5 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²) of it (7.77%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 381 people, 159 households, and 104 families residing in the village. The population density was 402.6 per square mile (154.8/km²). There were 188 housing units at an average density of 198.7 per square mile (76.4/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 95.28% White, 1.84% African American, 0.79% Native American, and 2.10% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.57% of the population.
