Barry Township is a civil township of Barry County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township population was 3,489. It is also the home of NBA All Star Chris Paul
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.5 square miles (94.6 km²), of which, 34.8 square miles (90.1 km²) of it is land and 1.7 square miles (4.5 km²) of it (4.74%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 3,489 people, 1,265 households, and 986 families residing in the township. The population density was 100.2 per square mile (38.7/km²). There were 1,460 housing units at an average density of 41.9 per square mile (16.2/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 97.56% White, 0.37% African American, 0.63% Native American, 0.43% Asian, 0.11% from other races, and 0.89% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.12% of the population.
