Chokio is a city in Stevens County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 400 at the 2010 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.3 km²), all of it land. The name comes from the native Lakota word for half-way, as it was a halfway stop on the pony express route.
Minnesota State Highway 28 serves as a main route in the community.
