Jackson is a city in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri, United States. The population was 13,758 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Cape Girardeau County. Jackson is named for U.S. President Andrew Jackson. It is a principal city of the Cape Girardeau–Jackson, MO-IL Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Jackson is located at 37°22′48″N 89°39′29″W / 37.38°N 89.65806°W / 37.38; -89.65806 (37.379941, -89.658118). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 10.1 square miles (26.2 km²), of which, 10.1 square miles (26.2 km²) of it is land and 0.10% is water.
