About This Place
Pomona is a village partly in the Town of Ramapo and partly in the Town of Haverstraw in Rockland County, New York, United States, located north of New Hempstead, east of Harriman State Park, north of Monsey and west of Mount Ivy. The population was 2,726 at the 2000 census. A large portion of the Town of Haverstraw, particularly in Mt. Ivy, uses a Pomona, New York mailing address, however these areas are not included in the governing Village of Pomona.
The current mayor is Brett Yagel.
