Cherokee is a city in Alfalfa County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,630 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Alfalfa County.
Cherokee is the location of the Cherokee IOOF Lodge No. 219, built in 1931, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
