Inola is a town in Rogers County, Oklahoma, United States. It is included in the Tulsa Metropolitan Statistical Area (TMSA). The population was 1,589 at the 2000 census. Inola styles itself as "The Hay Capital of the World."
Inola is located at 36°7′59″N 95°31′26″W / 36.13306°N 95.52389°W / 36.13306; -95.52389 (36.133182, -95.523938). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 6.6 square miles (17.1 km²), of which, 6.5 square miles (16.9 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²) of it (0.91%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,589 people, 604 households, and 431 families residing in the town. The population density was 242.9 people per square mile (93.8/km²). There were 635 housing units at an average density of 97.1 per square mile (37.5/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 80.87% White, 0.63% African American, 11.33% Native American, 0.31% Asian, 0.13% from other races, and 6.73% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.63% of the population.
