About This Place
Located on Old Dublin Pike outside of the center of town, Aldie Mansion sits on 10 acres of landscaped property and offers a unique venue for weddings and other social events.
The 2,400 square foot atrium inside the mansion can accommodate up to 200 guests and offers an outdoor patio and garden for spring or summer weddings and events. The cost of renting this historic facility varies for the time and duration of the event; interested customers should visit the Web site to check for the most recent rental fees and rules. A floor plan is available online for event coordinating, http://www.aldiemansion.com/floor_plan.htm
Built in 1927 by leading Doylestown citizens William Jr. and Martha Mercer, the property changed hands several times after Martha's death in 1960. The nonprofit Heritage Conservancy bought the property for $1 and, after a three-year restoration project, reopened it in 1991. Today, the fees from renting the property support the Conservancy's mission of preserving land and historic buildings in Bucks County and beyond.
