Vinton is a village in El Paso County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,892 at the 2000 census. It is part of the El Paso Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Vinton is located at 31°57′28″N 106°35′56″W / 31.95778°N 106.59889°W / 31.95778; -106.59889 (31.957659, -106.598817). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.4 square miles (6.3 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,892 people, 496 households, and 431 families residing in the village. The population density was 779.9 people per square mile (300.6/km²). There were 520 housing units at an average density of 214.4/sq mi (82.6/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 80.44% White, 1.00% African American, 0.16% Native American, 0.11% Asian, 15.59% from other races, and 2.70% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 93.60% of the population.
