Queanbeyan Bicentennial Hall
The Queanbeyan Museum, located in the historic Old Police Sergeants Residence, showcases the rich history of Queanbeyan and its surrounding district through a diverse collection of over 3,500 items. Visitors can explore ten galleries and outdoor areas that cover various themes, including the Ngambri people, the impact of World War I, and local bushrangers.
Opened in 1969 and operated by the Queanbeyan District Historical Museum Society, the museum features changing exhibitions and regular historical events. The building itself, a fine example of late 19th-century Victorian Regency style, has a storied past, originally serving as a police residence for nearly a century. Generated from the website
