Hoi Polloi Brasserie & Bar occupies a space historically utilised as the Non-Members’ Bar during the Parliamentary period 1927 - 1988. It was an infamous haunt for staffers, media and service workers alike, and is now a venue steeped in history and secrets. The beautiful red leather chairs, along with the tables, cabinets and other furniture in the Hoi Polloi, were used in Parliament until 1988, and are heritage-listed. Hoi Polloi is open as a brasserie & bar from 08:30am until 2:30pm weekdays and 11:30am until 2:30pm, Saturday and Sunday. Later for private functions. It overlooks the stunning House of Representatives Courtyard, which is accessible when the space is booked. Offering High Tea from 11:30am and 1:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday, and a Sunday Roast, on Sunday, bookings are essential if wishing to join us on the weekend.
