Ganmain, New South Wales 2702
The Ganmain Haystack Museum is an interpretive museum and was created in the late 1980's by a committee who's intention was to "Attract the tourist and be a memorial to the early pioneers of the district". The original building has been refurbishment and the name was changed in October 2017 to Ganmain Haystack Museum where we celebrated with a re-opening at the towns 125th. Many of the photographs have been reprinted and a user friendly monitor has been added to allow visitors to view an informative film which was originally shot in Ganmain, the film has been professionally edited and voice over added. This project has been undertaken by volunteers Howard Holgate ( film project )and the refurbishment by Bernadette Bodel who are both passionate about history. This work has been made possible with funding by the Advance Ganmain Committee, Barry Logan (Logan & Hitchens), Coolamon Shire Council and with a small donation from Coolamon Lions Club & Ross Harmer from West Wyalong Movies.
