Murwillumbah Historical Society
The Murwillumbah Historical Society, established on March 16, 1959, is dedicated to researching and promoting the rich history of Murwillumbah and its surroundings within the picturesque Tweed River Valley of Northern New South Wales. Operating out of a renovated research center in the Tweed Regional Museum, the Society collaborates with local institutions to engage the community in ongoing historical preservation and education efforts.
The Society produces a free quarterly newsletter and showcases a variety of significant artifacts, including a massive Robey steam engine and the original Council meeting table, in its regularly updated exhibits. With strong support from the Tweed Shire Council, the Society plays an essential role in fostering a deeper understanding of the area's heritage. Generated from the website
