Ambalindum Station is a working cattle station which is situated approximately 135km North-east of Alice Springs and is one of the original properties settled in Central Australia in the early 1900's. At well over 3,000 square kilometers, the station and its immediate surrounds feature some of the most spectacular scenery the Red Centre has to offer. Hale River Homestead has a range of accommodation available including the original Old Ambalindum Homestead, the Cottage, the Bunkhouse and a shaded, grassy camping area with powered sites and toilet and shower blocks. While you're staying at Old Ambalindum there are many places close by and many things to see and do . •Visit Historical Arltunga and visitors centre. The original town built before Alice Springs existed, started by the Gold Rush in the late 1880's •Do a Gem and Station tour and take home you findings •Short cut through Station road to beautiful Ruby Gap.
