Kumbartcho Sanctuary
Kumbartcho Sanctuary, located in Eatons Hill, Queensland, is a flora and fauna sanctuary that features walking tracks, a public park, BBQ facilities, and a playground, all accessible free of charge. Operated by volunteers in partnership with the Moreton Bay Regional Council, the sanctuary offers a native plant nursery where visitors can purchase a variety of plants at affordable prices.
The sanctuary also houses an Environmental Education and Activity Centre, showcasing videos and activities for children, along with community workshops and events. Its name, Kumbartcho, comes from the Gubbi Gubbi Aboriginal clan's term for the Hoop Pine, a tree historically significant for its use in shipbuilding. Generated from the website
