Curraghmore Station have campsites that are directly beside the McLeod and Mitchell Rivers- no saltwater crocodiles, gazetted roads, or uninvited guests as each site has its own track in providing seclusion and privacy. Located two hours from Cairns and only one hour north of Mareeba- spend your time relaxing not travelling! Camp 3- McLeod River/Campbell Creek junction -shallow and sandy bottom, deeper downstream. Camp 16 is directly across and has 2wd access. Both sites still have privacy. Great for extended family groups. Camp 3 can accommodate 8 vehicles, camper trailers, off road caravans. Camp 4- McLeod River sandy bottom shallow to moderate depth, 1 vehicle capacity. Camp 5- McLeod River shallow sandy bottom 5 vehicle capacity, camper trailers. Camp 6- McLeod River 3 vehicle capacity, camper trailers. Camp 7- McLeod River 3 vehicle capacity, camper trailers. Camp 8-Mitchell River 10+ vehicle capacity, caravans, camper trailers, buses, 2wd access. Camp 9- Mitchell River 'The Beach' Shallow to deep areas for swimming. 10+ vehicle capacity, camper trailers. Camp 10- McLeod River 2 vehicle capacity Camp 11- McLeod RIver 3 vehicle capacity. Camp 12- McLeod River 1 vehicle capacity, camper trailers. Camp 13- McLeod RIver Cascades 5 vehicle capacity, camper trailers. River has pools, cascades small rapids. Camp 14- McLeod river sandy bottom 5 vehicle capacity, camper trailers Multiple shady spots. Camp 15- Mitchell River 4wd access moderate. 10+ vehicle capacity, camper trailers. Camp 16- McLeod River Campbell Creek Junction. 10 vehicle capacity, 2wd access, camper trailers, caravans, The fees per campsite are $50 per night for up to five people, then $10 per head for additional guests. Children under 12 are free. Seniors discount $30 per night-(couples only).
