Electra is a modest yet striking cottage situated on a pine and cattle property an hour west of Bundaberg, constructed from the remnants of an earlier dwelling. The design showcases a simpler rural aesthetic, characterized by a skillion roof that creates a generous verandah, allowing internal living spaces to open up to the breezes and views.

With a focus on sustainability, Electra is completely off-grid, featuring extensive glazing for natural light and cross ventilation. The entire project was completed in under nine months, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the client, builder, and architect.
