The Tamworth Truck Drivers Memorial, established by the Tamworth Truck Drivers Club in 2000, serves as a poignant tribute to men and women who have lost their lives while working as professional drivers. Located on the New England Highway in South Tamworth, it features approximately 180 plaques commemorating those dedicated to the transport industry.
The memorial, one of only four in Australia, was expanded in 2015 with support from the New South Wales Government. It provides a place for remembrance, with personal touches such as flowers, notes, and photographs left by family and friends honoring the memory of the deceased drivers.
