The Tamworth Truck Drivers Memorial, established in 2000 by the Tamworth Truck Drivers Club, honors the men and women who have tragically lost their lives while serving as professional drivers, as well as those dedicated to the transport industry. It features approximately 180 plaques that commemorate these individuals, providing a space for remembrance and reflection for drivers and their families.
In 2015, the New South Wales Government supported the expansion of the memorial with a one-off grant of $10,000, enhancing its significance as one of only four truck drivers memorials in Australia. The site serves as a poignant tribute, with flowers, notes, and photographs left by loved ones, ensuring that their contributions are never forgotten.
