Matilda's of Ranelagh

The Huon Valley's iconic Bed and breakfast establishment is once again welcoming guests through it's doors. A landmark in the area, Matilda's of Ranelagh is a Heritage listed country retreat that dates back to the 1850's, and sits on 5 acres of grounds dotted with rambling gardens, mature trees and charming outbuildings - including the magnificent Oast House. Our rooms are generously sized and provide lovely beds, great views, comfortable seating and private en-suites. Guest facilities include a formal drawing room, library with an extensive book collection, wrap around veranda for sunny afternoons and outdoor area's to relax in and explore. The property in it's entirety is listed with the National Trust and was once awarded the rare distinction of a visit from Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth as part of a national tour in 1970. Featured in several articles and two published books, Matilda's of Ranelagh is a wonderful example of Heritage architecture, with a long standing tradition of providing generous accommodation.
