Halls Gap, Victoria
Set off on an epic 13-day journey and traverse 160 kilometres of rugged terrain on the Grampians Peaks Trail. Start at Mount Zero in the north and head south as you tackle challenging, yet rewarding peaks like Mount Difficult, Redman Bluff and Mount Abrupt, before completing your once-in-a-lifetime journey in Dunkeld. The Grampians Peaks Trail can be tackled from start to finish, or in smaller segments. Day hikes and shorter two to three day walks will also allow you to see some beautiful parts of the trail, without committing to the full 160 kilometres. Independent hikers must register their hike and book a campsite in advance. Guided walking and camping tours also operate across the trail. Walking guides are available from Brambuk the National Park and Cultural Centre Halls Gap, or from a local Grampians Visitor Information Centre.
