The Tamworth Truck Drivers Memorial, established in 2000 by the Tamworth Truck Drivers Club, honors the men and women who have lost their lives while working as professional drivers and those who have dedicated their careers to the transport industry. This poignant site features approximately 180 plaques, each bearing the names of the deceased, and serves as a place of remembrance for drivers from the region and beyond.
Supported by a one-off grant from the New South Wales Government in 2015, the memorial has been expanded to accommodate the many tributes left by family and friends, including flowers, notes, and photographs. The memorial was officially unveiled on October 28, 2000, by Tony Windsor, MP, and stands as a testament to the contributions and sacrifices of those in the trucking profession.
