Established in 1858 in Tianjin, China, Goubuli is renowned for its legendary Baozi, which features delicately handcrafted dough filled with richly flavored meat and a delicious soupy filling. The name "Goubuli," meaning "dog ignores," originated from the founder Gouzi's busy schedule that left little time for small talk with patrons.

Goubuli opened its first Canadian location in Richmond Hill in 2016, offering authentic Chinese cuisine alongside traditional Northern dishes and Tianjin snacks. The restaurant prides itself on maintaining the original recipes and exquisite taste of Goubuli Baozi, made fresh to order in-house.
