In 1989, Crestwood School purchased the beautiful valley at Lawrence and Bayview Avenue in Toronto, Ontario. In 1990, a select group of teachers and professionals created Crestwood Valley Day Camp, which opened that same summer.Eric Shendelman, the Camp Director, has over 20 years of camp experience and has a great passion for working with children. As a parent and a teacher, Eric clearly understands the importance of safety and fun at camp. Eric's expertise in the areas of creative programming, physical education and aquatics, will benefit Crestwood's vast amount of activities. Eric is committed to helping children develop their skills in this dynamic and supportive environment. He is an active member of the Society of Camp Directors, a Vice President of The Ontario Camps Association and speaks regularly at OCA conferences. Since 1992, Eric has owned and directed a reputable Toronto swim school, Shendy's and regularly works at enhancing all aspects of the camp's aquatic program. Eric grew up at camp since he was a young child and can't think of a summer without it.
