Der Mattelift in Bern ist ein technisches Pionierwerk, das seit über 125 Jahren das Stadtbild prägt und täglich mehr als 770 Fahrgäste von der Matte zur Plattform transportiert. Als einzigartiges Stück Schweizer Transportgeschichte wird der Lift von liebevollen Kondukteurinnen und Kondukteuren begleitet, die den Fahrgästen ein persönliches Erlebnis bieten. Im Jahr 2020 wurde die Geschichte des Mattelifts neu geschrieben, als erstmals Frauen im Betrieb die Verantwortung übernahmen.
