David and Dawn welcome you to Coombe House which sits behind our beautiful, mature garden, and is just a leisurely walk of hardly more than a few minutes from the picture perfect village of Bourton-on-the-Water, fondly known as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds'. With its many attractions including The Model Village, Birdland Park and Gardens, Bourton Model Railway, The Cotswold Perfumery and the Cotswold Motor Museum and its quaint selection of gift shops, boutiques and cafes, we're sure you'll be spoilt for choice of how to spend your days. In the evening you could stay in Bourton and sample one of the fine restaurants or pubs in the village, with their excellent choice of menus, overlooking the beautiful River Windrush and it's famous bridges, or visit one of the many nearby chocolate box villages before returning for a board game or game of cards in our residents lounge or putting your head down for the night ahead of another adventurous day exploring the local sites. Our seven comfortable, tastefully decorated rooms are all en-suite with free wifi, tea and coffee making facilities, refrigerator and a flat screen TV. After breakfast you may wish to leave your car in our free car park for an opportunity to experience one of the local walks or you can either set about taking in our glorious 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' or take a few minutes in the quiet of our residents' lounge before venturing out. This is an idyllic spot to use as a hub while exploring the Cotswolds. Whilst we have a "no pet" policy in the main house we do, however, have a separate annexe room which we would consider accepting well behaved, clean dogs, with responsible owners, please enquire.
