Pops meadow is a secure site 2 minutes walk from Gorleston beach. The site was first set up in 1916 and had many changes over the years. In the 1920s it’s was best know for the band stand and summer concerts held there for many years . There was then a large period in which it was used for a community garden before in the 1980s the famous Arnold Parmer putting green was run on the site. In the mid 1990s the site was a children’s amusement park and a new cafe built on the site. At some point in the 2010s the site was closed whilst the Great Yarmouth council decide what to do with the site. In 2021 the site was sold to a local family who have now transformer the site. Pops meadow is now a safe a secure site to bring the young and old. The open green area has been transformed into a children’s amusement park with rides and attractions for the youngsters. An 18 hole crazy golf course is on site at summer saving price of only £2.00 per person. There is a on site cafe serving hot and cold food along with refreshments. The resent installation of a external unit serving every sweet tooth’s favourite from ice creams, do-nuts, sweets , drinks and even candy floss. The site has on site toilet facilities and plenty of free car parking all around the Gorleston and adjoining roads. The site is free entry to all. The rides work off a token system or the new £9.99 session wrist band. A great day out for all ages The site opens from March - October. Open weekends and all children’s school holidays. Special events happing all through the season so should click on and follow their Facebook account
