Handep (indigenous Crafts)

Established in 2019, HANDEP is a social enterprise and craft-based brand dedicated to partnering with indigenous communities to foster a sustainable village economy. Our mission is to drive economic empowerment that is specifically tailored to the needs of the communities we work with, creating a ripple effect that supports the preservation of indigenous knowledge and practices while also halting future deforestation and preventing biodiversity loss. The name HANDEP is derived from the Dayak Ngaju dialect, embodying the spirit of collaboration and mutual support within a family or community. This ethos of working together and helping one another is at the heart of everything we do.
