Bed and breakfast "The Calicanto" is a charming house dating from the early twentieth century. It has been recently restored by the owners retaining the beautiful of its style and its architectural features. The house is situated less than 200 m from the center of Vico Equense and it is just a few minutes walk through an alley typical of the Sorrento peninsula that rises from the center of Vico Equense to Sconduci Street , where the B&B is situated. It is the ideal retreat for nature lovers, excursions and cycling. With us there are no cars and no smog. Spend your holiday in peaceful silence broken only by birdsong and the sound of the wind. Only 5 min. from the main square of the village and from the Circumvesuviana train station (5 minute walk). The B&B can also be reached on motorcicle for which there free parking available in a small garage below the house. For cars there is availability of private parking. The best way to experience the Sorrento Peninsula is just moving freely, enjoying the fantastic views. Near the Town Hall of Vico Equense is now also possible to rent bicycles with pedal assistance with which you can venture into fantastic excursions. The B&B is very well connected with the most beautiful places in the province of Naples. Pompeii, Herculaneum, Ravello, Amalfi and Vesuvius are easily accessible by train or bus that depart daily from the Circumvesuviana train station which is a few hundred meters from the house. From the port of Marina d'Equa there are fast ferry to the island of Capri. The owners will be pleased to accompany guests on the wonderful trails of the park of the mountains Lattari, the Badia of Cava dei Tirreni, Punta Campanella which offer a unique spectacle up the mountains and of the seaside.
