The mandates of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MoAF) include developing sustainable food systems by driving local production of primary agricultural produce, livestock, and fisheries to widen the supply chain, integrate production up the value chain and foster youth in agriculture and agro-entrepreneurship. Our mission is to create an enabling environment which grows and sustains industries in the agricultural sector while fostering gender equality and social inclusion in all our policies, programmes, and projects. To support our mission, vision, and mandates, our agencies and departments include Agro-Invest Corporation, Coconut Industry Board, Jamaica 4-H Clubs, Jamaica Agricultural Commodities Regulatory Authority (JACRA), Jamaica Agricultural Society, and Jamaica Veterinary Board (JVB).
