19km Along North Lake Road Off Nakuru Highway
Naivasha 20117
Olerai House was the family home of Iain & Oria Douglas-Hamilton, and has been hosting guests since 1993. Nestled in the 200-acre Sirocco Wildlife Sanctuary on the northern shores of Lake Naivasha, this previous cattle farm was re-wilded in 2001. Hundreds of antelope, equids and buffalo graze harmoniously on its grounds. Olerai House has six beautiful en-suite bedrooms and offers a B&B service. Three other private houses with two to three bedrooms - The Diary, The Studio, and Tinga Tinga - are available as self-catering rentals. The Sirocco Sanctuary is the perfect getaway for a romantic weekend, fun breaks with the kids or to decompress after a long flight. Activities include bird walks or hill hikes, game drives, swimming pool, sundowners, wildlife hacks on horseback, expeditions to Eburru Forest, Mt Longonot, Hell's Gate or Nakuru national park. For those that prefer not to cook, delicious dishes can be ordered 24 hrs in advance from the Farm Kitchen. It's truly a Garden of Eden.
