Amfi Valdres

Valdres Solvsmie was established in 1964, and the pottery opened in 1980. Our silver jewellery feature stones from Norway and abroad. We also make silver for the national costumes of Valdres, Hallingdal and Gudbrandsdal. In our pottery studio, we produce utility ceramics in high-fired earthenware clay that withstand everyday use – dishwasher included. Our most renowned ranges are “myrull”, “korn” and “timotei”. Opening hours: Monday-Friday: 9.00-16.00, Saturdays: 9.00-13.00 From June 20th to August 8th: Open every day from 9.00 to 17.00, Saturday and Sunday included.

Experience the combination of arts and nature at beautiful Eker Gård in Skammestein near the entrance of Jotunheimen. Visit our changing exhibitions with photos, paintings and sculptures. In the barn you’ll find the exhibition: «Henrik Ibsen for Dummies» where Ibsen’s work is interpreted through sculptures. You may attend courses in mosaic, photo, food and painting.
