We just strolled in to the capitol building while walking around Juneau. We were asked if we wanted to take the tour, so we decided to. The young man who did the tour (sorry I forgot his name)...
The Alaska State Capitol in Juneau is unpretentious with the exception of its marble portico and columns made of Tokeen marble from Prince of Wales Island, also used in some interior trim. Built in 1931 before Alaska became a state, the building is filled with historic photos to entice history buffs.
