Parkland Middle School, located in McHenry, Ill., offers educational opportunities to more than 800 students from grades six through eight. Its middle school curriculum includes subjects, such as language arts, social studies, math, science, foreign language, art, health, physical education, technology and earth science. Its support staff includes a guidance counselor, structured education teacher, health assistant, social worker and a bilingual instructional aide. Parkland Middle School offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities, including chorus, band, student council and various sports, such as cross country, volleyball, cheerleading, basketball and wrestling. It is a part of the McHenry School District.
