The organization has partnerships with more than 250 nonprofit charities. It acts as a central repository and distribution point for government and donated food. The San Diego Food Bank is funded by various foundations, grants, corporations, sponsors and individual donors. The organization distributes more than 10 million pounds of food annually to individuals and families, as well as a network of nonprofit organizations that works to alleviate hunger throughout the United States. It offers member agency, food purchase, emergency food assistance and commodities supplemental food programs. The San Diego Food Bank is located in San Diego.
