The historic legacy of Galeries Lafayette stretches back to 1894, when cousins Théophile Bader and Alphonse Kahn realised their family dream of opening a fashion store in Paris. Since then Galeries Lafayette, the French market leader in department stores, has been the undisputed expert in fashion and event shopping for the past 120 years, with a network of 65 stores in France and abroad. In March 2019, Galeries Lafayette opened its doors in Doha located within 21 High st - the ultimate outdoor shopping destination - at the heart of Katara Cultural Village, home to a thriving and bustling cultural scene.
