THE BIRTH OF NOROBATA The meaning of the name Norobata is built on two components; No= Nordic, Robata= hot charcoal grill originating from Japan. The concept we offer is Nordic charcoal grill with influences from Japan & Peru. The Robata grill is fired with Bincho-tan, which is a type of charcoal, also called white charcoal, produced from Japanese white oak. The production technique of Bincho-tan originated in the area around Wakayama in the Kansai region of southern Japan and what is unique about this type of charcoal is that it does not emit any odors when grilling. The background to the idea of ​​Norobata is based on the Swedes' love for the grill combined with our curiosity about new continents.
