Portman's Bar

Named after John Portman, the world-class Architect who first designed the building that now house the Hotel. The name is both a tribute to Portman and his legacy, and a recognition of the timeless, cathedral-like atrium that provides the environment for the bar and the Hotel’s welcome space. During the day, skylights allow streams of natural light to pour in, bathing the space in a warm, welcoming glow - perfect for a pensive speciality-grade morning coffee or a nature-inspired afternoon tea with friends, featuring top-shelf international teas and delicate, delectable bites fresh from the kitchen. A resident Mixologist spins from more than 90 labels of whiskies and other top-quality spirits into both classic and unique signature cocktails. Inspired by the Hotel’s Urban Farm, these cocktails embrace the ‘farm-to-bar’ concept, and designed around specific fresh herbs and edible plants, drawing their flavours from the beauty of nature.
