MDesign Rooms with a story Pr' Gavedarjo - a renovated slovenian cultural heritageUniqly renovated cultural heritage with Design Rooms Pr' Gavedarjo and a Gold Travelife certificate for achivements in sustainable tourism is located in the idilic village of Podkoren, the pearl of architectural cultural heritage in Zgornjesavska valley. The homestead is in the ownership of Gregori family for the past century and in the latest renovation it kept all the relevant features of amazing slovenian cultural heritage. A modern approach with incorporating slovenian cultural heritage elements in the exclusive fabrics and modern furnishing was added to the restored family furniture and wall paintings from 1913.The concept of the homestead renovation is unique due to the two interwound stories, which have permeated the history of family for many years, namely the environmental story and the story of the conservation of the slovenian cultural heritage. Innovative concepts for connecting the living spaces from AKSL arhitekti with specialy designed bathrooms and a counter with a wash basin combine the old with the modern amenities in every room for our guests ultimate comfort.Design Rooms Pr' Gavedarjo are made with the environmentally friendly aspect, with comfort and health of our guests in mind:+ the use of natural materials (wooden waxed floor, wooden furniture, organic colours), + wooden furniture was treated with natural wax, + beds are made of 100% natural materials + linen and towels are made of certified organic and fair trade cotton+ efficient energy use,+ minimal environmental impact, + Free Wi-Fi and parking,+ Flat-screen TV.Each room is named after a former resident and an important feature of Gregori family and Pr' Gavedarjo homestead and with this outstanding concept we link stories of the former homestead residents with newer ones and use them to elevate your stay to a higher level.Guests of Design Rooms Pr' Gavedarjo can enjoy an active holiday while relaxing and walking, hiking and mountain biking in Triglav National Park (500 m) and the Julian Alps. During the winter numerous cross-country trails are available and our guests can also go skiing and snowboarding in the ski center Kranjska Gora (3 km) or the nearest Podkoren Slopes (300 m). For the more adventurous guests famous Austrian and Italian Ski Areas are also possibility to spend their active winter holidays.
