Birmingham Botanical Gardens is one of the largest living museums in the United States. Located in Birmingham, Ala., it contains over 10,000 different species of plants and over 25 unique gardens along with over 30 works of original outdoor sculpture. Birmingham Botanical Gardens features one of the largest public horticulture libraries in the United states apart from conservatories, a wildflower garden, two rose gardens, the Southern Living garden and Japanese Gardens with a traditionally crafted tea house. Governed by a board of directors, it further offers educational programs throughout the year and facilities for up to 10,000 school students to experience science based field trips annually.
