Located in Blountsville, Ala., Susan Moore High School serves more than 500 students in grades seven through 12 and was established in 1923. It is a public, coeducational high school that is a part of the Blount County School District. The high school provides a wide variety of academic courses, such as language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, arts, foreign languages, and physical and health education. It offers various athletic activities, including football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, cheerleading, softball, wrestling, golf and track. The high school also offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including math, science and Spanish clubs, the Future Teachers of America, the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America and the Future Farmers of America. Additionally, it provides various facilities, such as a gymnasium, library, cafeteria, hall, lockers, playing fields and laboratories. Susan Moore High School is approved by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
